Dennis Miller, Pennsylvania's sensational and multi talented comedian is bringing his indelible comedy to the NYCB Theater!
Dennis Michael Miller was born in Pittsburgh in 1953 and is a stand-up comedian, talk show host, political commentator, sports commentator, actor, author, and television and radio personality. His comedic style is best described as a blend of political satire, observational comedy, wit, sarcasm, sketch comedy, and he jokes about various topics such as American politics, culture, conservatism, libertarianism, human sexuality, pop culture, and current events. He cites Jonathan Miller, Richard Pryor, Richard Belzer and Jay Leno as his influences and he's also often compared to Mort Sahl and Lenny Bruce. His style is unique in that it's laid back, brooding, acerbic, and his trademark is a stream of consciousness rant against things that annoy him. He said in an interview, "I don't ever wanna get self important. I'm a comedian, and I want everyone in my life to know it. The stream of consciousness style is my monkey trick. I sit there, I watch stuff, and cultural references bump into my head. I watched a lot of TV when I was a kid." He's had a stellar career with 12 comedy specials, 8 comedy albums, and he's also starred in many films and TV shows.
