Dave Mason, England's sensational pop and rock artist is bringing his signature sounds to the NYCB Theater!
div style="">David Thomas "Dave" Mason was born in Worcester (England) in 1946 and is a singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist (guitar, vocals, bass guitar, mellotron, sitar, and tambura). Over the years, his musical style has spanned many genres such as contemporary pop/rock, progressive rock (a broad subgenre of rock music that grew out of psychedelic bands who abandoned standard traditions in favour of instrumentation and compositional techniques more frequently associated with jazz, folk or classical music), soft rock (a subgenre of pop music that largely features acoustic guitars and slow to mid tempos), psychedelic pop (a style in which musical characteristics associated with psychedelic music are applied to pop songs - this includes "trippy" effects such as fuzz guitars, tape manipulation, sitars, backwards recording, and Beach Boys style harmonies), and AM pop (the dominant sound of Top 40 AM radio during the 1960s and '70s). He’s had a stellar career with 13 studio albums, 7 live albums, and he's performed or recorded with many renowned artists such as Paul McCartney, George Harrison, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Steve Winwood, Fleetwood Mac, Delaney and Bonnie, and Cass Elliot.
