Daughtry, North Carolina's sensational alternative rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the NYCB Theater!
Daughtry was formed in 2006 by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Chris Daughtry (best known as a finalist on the fifth season of American Idol). He recruited bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, and guitarists Jeremy Brady and Josh Steely to complete the line up and they released their eponymous debut album in November 2006. Their musical style is best described as a blend of post grunge (a derivative of grunge music that uses the sounds and aesthetics of grunge, but with a more commercially accessible tone), hard rock (a loosely defined sub genre of rock music featuring heavy use of aggressive vocals, distorted electric guitars, bass guitar, drums, and often accompanied with pianos and keyboards), and alternative rock (is a style of rock music that emerged from the independent music underground of the 1980s and became widely popular in the 1990s). The band's been through a few line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Chris, Josh Steely, Josh Paul, Brian Craddock, Elvio Fernandes, and Brandon Maclin. They’ve had a stellar career with 4 studio albums, 1 compilation album, 1 extended plays, 17 singles, and 17 music videos.
